A title search provides details of any encumbrances, caveats and notices or other activity registered on title within the last 125 days. It is therefore a requirement that an up-to-date title search is included with any planning application. The title also includes land description and ownership details.
Council requires title searches to be no older than three months prior to lodging a planning application. The Title needs to include the Certificate and Plan of Subdivision.
Photocopy of a certificate of title are not acceptable as it may not provide up-to-date information.
