LOCAL LAWS OFFICER / RANGER (casual)
Council is currently offering an opportunity for a Local Laws Officer/Ranger to join the organisation on a casual basis. Casual working hours will include:
- One business day per week;
- An after hours ‘on call’ roster;
- Additional hours during the fire season; and
- Covering leave periods.
This position provides a range of enforcement services and education to the community in accordance with the Local Law and State legislation.
The applicant must have excellent communication skills, enjoy working and caring for animals and an ability to acquire knowledge of relevant laws and legislation. This person must also have a professional approach to their work with exceptional conflict management and negotiation skills.
The position is classified as Band 4 Level A with a pay rate of $39.46 per hour (including casual loading).
Current ‘Working with Children’ and ‘Police Check’ is also required.
