On Sunday 27 August the new Woomelang Bowling Club Synthetic Surface was officially opened. The project was funded by the Victorian Government's Local Sport Infrastructure Fund (2021-2022) to $160,000 with Yarriambiack Shire Council contributing a further $107,998.70. Synthetic bowling green surfacesassist with reducing volunteer workloads (especially for an aging committee) and assist with reducing costs to the club (water and maintenance costs). The aim of the surface is toincrease participation opportunities as the synthetic green can be utilsed all year round and not rely on volunteers to have to mow and roll the green before play.
