Community SHARE Grant Program 2024/25

Yarriambiack Shire Council is committed to working in partnership with the community to encourage, develop, support, and sustain a wide range of local recreational, cultural, social, community support and business group initiatives that:

  • Make a positive contribution to the Yarriambiack Shire community.
  • Strengthen the development of strong local communities.

Community SHARE Grant Program is returning in 2024, to provide financial assistance to community groups and businesses to support the provision of events and services which respond to identified community need, contribute to the building of stronger communities and are in accordance with Council’s strategic outcomes.

The following funding will be available across these four streams:

  • Up to $1,500 is available for not-for-profit community groups applying for Community Events.
  • Up to $2,000 is available for Small Businesses applying for Business Works.
  • Up to $3,000 is available for not-for-profit community groups applying for Community Works (Minor).
  • Up to $10,000 is available for not-for-profit community groups applying for Community Works (Major).

Applications for this year’s SHARE Grant Program will open on Monday 3rd June 2024, 8:00am – and close on Monday 24th June 2024, 12:00pm.

Council encourages all applicants to thoroughly review the guidelines and leave enough time to prepare their application, using the online application form.

All the awarded funds will be available in the one grant round, as it was last year in 2023.  The official notice of awarded grants will be distributed on Wednesday 24th July 2024.

 

There will be an online Information Session held on two evenings for the community to attend.  These sessions will run between 6:00pm – 6:30pm on:

  • Session #1 – Monday 20th May 2024.
  • Session #2 – Wednesday 5th June 2024.

These sessions will feature:

  • Objectives of the SHARE Grant Program.
  • SHARE Grant application process.
  • SHARE Grant eligibility & funding requirements.
  • Preparing & planning your application.
  • Q&A opportunities.
