2024 Mayoral Elections Held

YARRIAMBIACK SHIRE MAYORAL ELECTIONS

Cr Kylie Zanker has been elected as Mayor of the Yarriambiack Shire Council at a Statutory Meeting of Council on 20^th November 2024.

Council determined to appoint a Deputy Mayor, to which Cr Andrew McLean was elected.

Both councillors will serve in their respective positions for a term of 1 year.

In her congratulatory remarks, Cr Zanker said “We do have a strong Councillor leadership team and I know that we’ll be able to move forward and work harmoniously together.”

“Congratulations Cr McLean, I look forward to working with you as I do my fellow councillors as well” Cr Zanker added.

All councillors had previously taken an oath and affirmation at a ceremony to declare councillors on 28th October.

The 2024 Council elections saw the following 6 councillors elected:

• Cr Corinne Heintze (Dunmunkle Ward)
• Cr Melinda Keel (Dunumkle Ward)
• Cr Karly Kirk (Warracknabeal Ward)
• Cr Chris Lehmann (Hopetoun Ward)
• Cr Andrew McLean (Hopetoun Ward)
• Cr Kylie Zanker (Warracknabeal Ward)
