Wimmera Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee member EOI

The Wimmera Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee (MEMPC) is seeking expressions of interest from community members in the Yarriambiack Shire who would like to join the committee.

The Wimmera MEMPC is made up of representatives from government and non-government emergency response and recovery agencies. The MEMPC plans for a range of emergencies that may occur within the Hindmarsh, Horsham, West Wimmera and Yarriambiack municipalities and is responsible for the preparation of the Municipal Emergency Management Plan (MEMP).

The MEMPC is seeking to appoint one representative who would ideally have an understanding of the Victorian emergency management arrangements and can effectively represent the Yarriambiack community. The position is voluntary, and you must be available to attend at least four meetings annually. Meetings are rotated across the Hindmarsh, Horsham, West Wimmera and Yarriambiack municipalities.

Expressions of interest should include a one-page statement outlining your interest in the position and the attributes you would bring to the role based on the selection criteria in the position description.
