Transfer Stations

Council operates transfer stations located in Speed/Tempy, Hopetoun, Beulah, Woomelang, Warracknabeal, Minyip, Rupanyup and Murtoa, which accept most waste and recyclable materials.

Council also operates hard waste and recycling collections in Yaapeet and Patchewollock.

All transfer stations are closed every Monday, Good Friday and Christmas Day.

TRANSFER STATIONS OPENING HOURS ON EXTREME HEAT DAYS AND TOTAL FIRE BANS

Please note that Transfer Stations will only open for the first 2 hours of the day (if scheduled to be open) on Total Fire Ban Days and days of extreme weather in line with Council's OH&S policies and safe work practices.

Transfer Stations will be closed all day when a Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating is declared.

The following transfer stations are in the Mallee Fire District: Beulah, Hopetoun, Woomelang, Speed, Patchewollock and Yaapeet

The following transfer stations are in the Wimmera Fire District: Warracknabeal, Minyip, Murtoa and Rupanyup.
