Wide Open Spaces Festival is a great weekend of Music, Food and Fun for all ages.
Saturday morning the Creekside Market begins at 9am with a variety of unique stalls showcasing local craft, art, handmade products and plants. The Classic Car display nearby is a chance to wander down memory lane and the Southern Mallee Remote Controlled Trucks will put on their amazing display over the entire weekend. This popular exhibition attracts both local and interstate visitors.
The music begins at 2pm and continues until 10pm. The shaded lawns beside the Yarriambiack Creek are a great venue to sit back, relax, listen and enjoy the talented musicians below.
Paul Costa with his band. Paul is a multi award winner, Country Hall of Fame member and well known for his great vocals and dynamic performances.
Rhys Crimmin – with an ever-growing array of instruments including guitar, didgeridoo, harmonica, foot percussion and more Rhys and his one man band have delighted crowds with his Aussie Country, Roots, Folk & Foot Stompin’ Blues
Darryn Wardle & Jeff Woodward – this well known and respected duo are mainstays of Wide Open Spaces and we are thrilled to have their support.
Brodie & Danny Glen – this energetic duo brings a mix of originals and covers to their performance
The Edmonds Family – a harmonious duo with a repertoire of golden oldies and current tunes chosen to engage and enthuse the audience.
Brylie Chivell – with a wide variety of influences Brylie makes each song her own and has the audience enchanted by her beautiful voice.
Sunday is the Family Fun Day and begins with The Fishing Competition from 8am to 12 noon. There will be great prizes and cash to win so get up early and try your luck.
Breakfast will be available and delivered
The music will begin at 1am then continue throughout the afternoon and evening.
Once again Darryn Wardle & Jeff Woodward, The Edmonds Family and Brylie Chivell will entertain along with some great additions
Elias Lanyon – recently on The Voice with what has been described as a soulful, unforgettable sound.
Nicole Matthews with an array of country to classical and a recent performer at the Patchewollock Festival.
Music for Kids - an interactive sing, dance, jump and enjoy experience.
The Annual Duck Race will once again take place and there will be a Lucky Spinning Wheel with fantastic prizes and much more.
Childrens activities include Kite Flying, Mini Golf, Face Painting, Games and Pony Rides with Squatter Coffey.
Bush Tucker Workshops on both days – Learn, Cook and Eat – with Meez on Plus. Bookings are essential as there are limited spaces. Contact 0438 902246
Food, Coffee and Cold Drinks will be available throughout the weekend. BYO refreshments and chairs.
Powered and unpowered sites are available at the Caravan Park (bookings essential) and there will be free unpowered camping at the venue. .
Tickets will be available on Eventbrite from Jan 26th . Tickets will also be available at the venue.
There will be a Lucky Wrist Band Prize for Weekend Tickets - Drawn on Sunday.
