Council has now entered the caretaker period. From 12pm 17 September until 6pm 26 October 2024, to comply with the Local Government Act 2020 Council cannot make certain types of actions and decisions that could influence voters or have a major impact on the new Council. During this time, you will notice decreased activity across Council social media pages, website and email newsletters.

Scarecrow Competition

The Warracknabeal Community Garden's annual scarecrow competition is on again. The 2024 theme is Book Characters. Open to all ages. Use your own frame or collect a free one from the Community Garden site in Scott St, near the Pantry. Entry forms are in the Warracknabeal A & P Society Show booklet available in many Warracknabeal shops, on school and Community Garden Facebook sites and in the pantry at the Community Garden. Lots of prizes to be won.

Bring your scarecrow and completed entry form to the Jack McKenzie Pavilion at the Showgrounds on Warracknabeal Show day - 10 October.

Location

After the Show all scarecrows will be transferred to the Warracknabeal Community Garden for display until November 30, 2024.
