There's nothing better than tucking into homegrown tomatoes or a fruit platter at this time of year, but not when you find a Queensland fruit fly (QFF) has made a head start.
It is important that everyone is vigilant and that home gardeners take extra steps to protect their produce from QFF.
While many home gardeners do a great job in keeping fruit fly at bay, a whole community approach is needed to minimise the impact on fruit trees across our region.
The Yarriambiack Shire Council is hosting 3 sessions with gardening expert, Rob Pelletier from Heritage Fruit Trees, to help home gardeners to manage the fruit fly problem and develop a whole community approach - so everyone can benefit from good fruit fly management!
All residents are welcome to join these sessions!
The sessions will be held at:
