Patchewollock Silo Art
Artist Fintan Magee completed the GrainCorp Patchewollock Silo Art in October 2016. Fintan Magee booked a room at the local pub to immerse himself in the community prior to commencing the artwork.
The silo art depicts the famously reserved local sheep and grain farmer, Nick "Noodle" Hulland, who's solemn expression, sun-bleached hair and squinting gaze speak to the harshness of the environment and the challenges of life in the Wimmera Mallee.
The Silo Art Trail is Australia's largest outdoor gallery. The Silo Art Trail is a partnership between Yarriambiack, Hindmarsh, Buloke, West Wimmera and Horsham Councils, in collaboration with international street art agency Juddy Roller, Victorian Government and Federal Government. The silos have been donated as canvasses for the artist's work by GrainCorp and various private owners.
