Murtoa Museum Precinct is a museum about the unique history of the local area.

There are 3 buildings and many displays to explore: The old Water Tower, the refurbished Murtoa Railway Station, and Concordia Cottage. Visitors can explore the displays of the famous James Hill Taxidermy collection of over 600 birds, reptiles, mammals and eggs. There are 4 floors of displays in the old Water Tower, a history of early settlers and pioneers in Concordia Cottage and Railway history at the Station. A fascinating insight to local industry development during the growth of railway in Victoria and the people of local Murtoa and its surrounding districts.
