Sponsorship Allocations 2018
In support of the many community organised events held within our municipality Yarriambiack Shire Council wishes to offer the opportunity for Council sponsorship of events.
The sponsorship grants are to be used for prize money or purchase of a trophy for a competition open to the public and scheduled as part of an event or festival. The sponsorship cannot be used for internal club competitions. Only one allocation will be made per community group.
Groups or organisations wishing to make application for an allocation should contact the Municipal Office, 34 Lyle Street, Warracknabeal VIC 3393 (tel: 5398 0100) to obtain application forms or alternatively download from Council's website.
Applications close at 5.00pm on Friday 25 May 2018.
All applications will be considered but not necessarily funded by the Council. The maximum amount of sponsorship available to each group is $200.
Proposed Sale of Land - Corrong Court, Hopetoun
Yarriambiack Shire Council acting under section 189 of the Local Government Act 1989 proposes to sell Lot 2 on Plan of Subdivision 725805N, Volume 11584 Folio 517, located at 1 Corrong Court, Hopetoun.
It is Council's intention to sell the land by private treaty. In accordance with section 223 of the Act, any person wishing to make a submission on the proposal must do so in writing to the undersigned by no later than Friday 27th April 2018.

A person making a submission is entitled to request in the submission that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, in support of the submission at a meeting of the council or its Committee on a date, time and place to be determined by Council. Submissions made under section 223 of the Act are not confidential and:
• will be incorporated in full (including any personal information) into the agenda and minutes of any Council or committee meeting at which the matter is considered;
• will be available on Council's website as part of any relevant Council or committee agenda and minutes;
• must be made available for public inspection in accordance with the provisions of the Act.
All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act. Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to sell the land, part of the land or not to sell the land.
